My boyfriend and I would like to have a baby. Should I stop taking the birth control pill for a while before trying to have a baby?

I was also wondering if I should see a doctor before trying to have a baby or only when I am pregnant. I am healthy and I don't smoke.

Hello !
Thank you for your question!
There is no minimum recommended time to stop your birth control. However, it is generally recommended to start taking a pregnancy multivitamin (for example, materna) about 3 months before you get pregnant. There may also be a delay after stopping the pill for your natural cycle to regulate
It is not necessarily necessary to consult a doctor before getting pregnant, but you will need to do so once the pregnancy is confirmed to ensure your pregnancy follow-up
I hope to have answered your question and I am available for more details if necessary!
