My boyfriend often has balanitis but has few symptoms. Is it contagious when you have sex?

My boyfriend is not circumcised and he had a balanitis 2 months ago and recently he saw another doctor who seemed to say that he still had fungus. However, I have the impression that it always comes back but he has few symptoms so he doesn't always realize it. I have a lot more vaginal infections since I'm with him. Apparently it's not transmitted but I'm convinced of the contrary? What do you think?

Hello and thank you for your question :)
In fact, balanitis, or inflammation of the ''head'' of the penis, can have several causes, but indeed, it is often caused by the presence of a fungus, the candida albican.
This is the same fungus that causes fungal vaginal infections in women. On my side, I found that the micro-organism (fungus) could be transferred from one person to another...
It would be better to wear a condom until the infection is healed.
