Hello!
The effect of glucosamine on blood sugar levels is not really studied.
Glucosamine is not a source of glucose. However, taking glucosamine can increase glucose levels through various mechanisms. Thus, it is possible that taking glucosamine is responsible for the difference in your blood tests
If you are interested in finding an alternative to glucosamine to see if your blood sugar levels improve after stopping it, I suggest you discuss this with your pharmacist or doctor.
I hope this answers your question!
