Should I do a complete abrupt stop or gradually?

Several pieces of information are needed to answer your question: what dose are you taking? Are you taking the medication regularly or a few times a week for sleep, for example? Are you taking other medications, or is another medication going to replace trazodone? There is no single recipe, but if you are taking it regularly, it would be better to stop it gradually, i.e. to decrease the dose by 33-50% each week. Your pharmacist will be able to help you set up a schedule and will be able to follow up with you and your doctor, so don't hesitate to contact him!
