I started a new progesterone-based contraceptive (Micronor) 5 days ago and I am experiencing abnormal acne growth. Is this related?

because of my genetic situation ( brca1 ) they had to remove the estrogen from my contraception... that's why I'm trying micronor but honestly I don't have a very good feeling about this pill.

Good evening ma'am, It is not the fact that you are taking the Micronor™, but rather that you have stopped the estrogen that is causing the acne flare-up.
