I understand much better now 😃
It's definitely normal to feel "uglier" when switching to a medication like venlafaxine or trintellix.
The side effects you mention do not seem alarming to me. In fact, they are very common at the beginning of treatment. They usually do not last beyond a few days.
You have to keep in mind that your body was used to the venlafaxine that was withdrawn, and a new molecule was introduced. So your body has to adjust to the new molecule and get back into hormonal balance!
While waiting for time to take effect, you could try taking the medication at dinner or bedtime, always with food. By changing the time of taking in the evening, sometimes the medication is much better tolerated. Thus, your next intake could be only tomorrow night if you have already taken it this morning.
If the effects you mention to me persist over the long term, it would be important to talk with your pharmacist or doctor. They can work with you to find an alternative that is compatible with your health profile.
