Is it not advisable to have an occasional glass of wine if I am taking Methotrexate injections for my arthritis?

I don't take any other medication except for folic acid. I take a 20mg injection on Thursday. I read on the internet that it can damage the liver.

Hello!

Methotrexate is a drug that requires rigorous monitoring (blood tests to follow the effectiveness and the side effects on the liver and other organs). If all goes well with your tests, I see no harm in having a drink from time to time (moderation required), unless your tests are not good (increased liver enzymes, etc.). This is my personal opinion but it remains to validate with your doctor your general health because I do not have all the details.
