How to manage clarythromycin (Biaxin) and Viagra interaction?

It is very difficult to know how long the interaction remains after discontinuing Biaxin. We sometimes recommend decreasing the dose of Viagra within a week of stopping the antibiotic instead. What dose are you taking?

It would be prudent, in my opinion, to take half the dose (25mg) for the next few days. The Viagra tablet, can be cut, although its form may cause some problems at this level.

For your information, taking the full dose may cause hot flashes, muscle pain, diarrhea and visual disturbances.

One week after the last dose of Biaxin, the chances of you experiencing these effects with a 50mg dose become very low, and that's why I recommend you to decrease the dose by then.
