My 2 month old baby has a very dry scalp (really dry skin, not cradle cap). What can I do to help?

I wash her hair every 2-3 days, rinse with clean water and apply oil, but it always comes back.

Hello Ma'am,
When you say you wash her hair, how do you do it and what product do you use? Also, how long has this been present?

Thank you for providing me with this information so that I can help you. 😊

I use Johnson's shampoo or Attitude's. I wash with a small soft towel (he doesn't have much hair) and rinse with clean water, not bath water. I apply sweet almond oil one hour before the bath and Aveeno baby cream afterwards. The next day everything is fine, but it comes back the next day. It's been like this for 2 or 3 weeks
Thank you

Thanks for the information.
At this age, it is best not to use shampoo at all when the skin is this sensitive. For the next few weeks, try using only water and a little sweet almond oil while bathing her body and scalp. You will quickly see that even if you don't apply moisturizer afterwards, his skin will be much less dry. Also, don't use the towel on his scalp, go with your hand instead.
Finally, try not to wash his head every day and don't use water that is too hot if possible (for his head), as this helps to remove the "good moisturizers" he naturally produces from the skin.
If it doesn't change anything after 2 weeks, I would then invite you to consult. 😊
Happy day,
