Hello Ma'am,
In fact, hormonal changes are often the cause of pimples on the chin. Fluctuations are also influenced by stress and good lifestyle habits (hydration, diet, exercise, etc.). Over-the-counter products such as salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide are generally not very effective for cystic pimples. However, if your pimples are more red in appearance with a white head, one could try applying Benzagel for example 1 time a day at bedtime, beware this product can stain pillows.
Generally, we try to prevent the appearance of pimples by establishing good skin hygiene. The use of a gentle, unscented, non-comedogenic cleanser and a moisturizer with the same characteristics to be used twice a day morning and evening (for example in the Cerave or Cutibase range) is preferred. It is also recommended to have a good sun protection (sunscreen) as it is the basis of any skin routine!
Finally, if your pimples persist despite everything, I suggest you consult your doctor as other stronger treatments require a prescription. Also, in your case, a hormonal contraceptive could also be an option to limit hormonal fluctuations which you can discuss with your doctor!
Do not hesitate to contact me with any additional questions.
Happy day,
