How can I get rid of hemorrhoids after giving birth?

33-year-old womana year ago
I gave birth to my first child a little over 4 months ago, and since then, I've had a hard time getting rid of my hemorrhoids. I have tried creams and suppositories available in pharmacies and I had a prescription from my doctor for these same products with cortisone. I also take laxaday every day. The hemorrhoids are no longer apparent, but the pain and pressure in that area still persist.

Hello ma'am, do you have other symptoms such as diarrhea or constipation?

Since I have been using laxaday, I no longer have constipation (and I don't have diarrhea). I have found a dosage that works for me. However, if I go a day without taking it, it becomes painful again

Thank you for the information, I'm sorry for the delay in my reply, I hadn't seen the notification!
You have done well with Lax-A-Day, I invite you to continue it if it helps you and is well tolerated, it is safe in the long term and does not make the intestines "lazy
I encourage you to consume a lot of fiber (fruits and vegetables, whole grains, etc.) and to drink a lot of fluids to soften the stool.
If you have never tried this, I suggest Anusol Plus ointment (available without a prescription in pharmacies) which can be applied inside and outside twice a day and after each bowel movement if needed.
If the situation persists for more than 2 weeks without improvement, you should consult a doctor.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
