I would like to have information on the possible effects of stopping Intuniv?

What are the effects of discontinuing intuniv without weaning (or lowering the dose) in a child? Thank you for your quick response. The question was for a friend of mine, I will pass the information on to her. Thanks again and have a nice evening

Hello Madam, this is absolutely to be avoided as sudden discontinuation of Intuniv XR can cause hypertension, even in children. If you would like your child to discontinue this product, I would suggest contacting your pharmacist who will be able to make a personalized withdrawal schedule, serve lower strengths of tablets (as they cannot be cut or crushed), follow up with you, and keep the doctor informed if deemed necessary.
